“How do I love thee ~ let me count the ways.”
Elizabeth Barrett Browning Sonnet 43 beautifully represents her
commitment to her beloved that exceeds all time and all barriers.
Grateful for the new year and the promise of what 2021 will bring us. I’m full of love and gratitude for having all of you in my life. Time is flying and spring can’t come soon enough!
As the sands fall through the hourglass, we sometimes take for granted the time we have to be present in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Every day, I behold the beauty of family members selflessly giving their time and talents to their treasured partners, parents, aunts, uncles, siblings, friends, clients, and so on. Some of us are still rushing through while others have stopped to glean the gratitude in what was and what is. Honoring the opportunities, we have while letting go of all the possibilities lost.
As we enter this new season, I look for renewal and remind myself where LOVE resides. Love resides in my memories and being fully present today. Love comes in gifts of introspection with opportunities to show appreciation. Adoration and devotion from my family top the list, with loyalty and companionship of friends as a close second.
We have so much to be grateful for and somehow if we forget to acknowledge these moments – the memories can be fleeting. This is why I have come to love Gratitude Journals as they capture the gifts for all posterity. The daily practice of finding the JOY and LOVE in everyday living brings the life in my living. Recently, I found Gratitude Jars. I have one at home and we have them on our desks in the office. What a game-changer. So simple to grab a pen and write down the moment there is a spark of JOY. I love using pictures too, adding an antidote, a story, or blurb about the occasion.
“Acknowledging the good that you already have
in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”
~ Eckhart Tolle
